My highlights of the week

It has been a very busy week around the salon! It is the height of summer and bridal season is in full effect. In addition to primping and priming all of my gorgeous and unique brides, I have had some creative color experiments too! Randi, shown below strays away from foiled highlights for her curls. Instead of forcing her curly locks into a flat foil we decided that hand painted highlights would achieve the natural sun kissed look she was after. Did I mention how lucky I am to have such wonderful open minded clients?

Ah Suzanne, can this girl be anymore fun? After brightening up her faded red to a vibrant and rich violet red we decided to stray away from the typical bob. This girl is anything but ordinary and her hair is the cherry on top.
     Hello Gorgeous!
Here is a perfect example of why I tell my brides that anything goes when it comes to wedding styling. Long gone are the days of stark white tulle and beads. While there is still a special place in our hearts for the traditional beaded veils and glamor, it just does not suit every gals princess fantasy. This beautiful NY bride went with a beaded turquoise headband and braids to go with her farmers market wedding day. In those fire-y red curls what could a more beautiful contrast? A week prior to her big day we added a glossy coppery glaze to top off those spindly locks of red and gold.
Hannah decided to go with a side braid swept over into loose boho curls for her prom day style. Look below at the custom Adorn hair accessory I created for her special day.
Creamy chiffon rosettes and rhinestone with a grackle feather or two tops this already gorgeous head of hair. If you are interested in a custom Adorn hair piece please contact Danielle at shecutme@yahoo.com
In addition to having a great hair week I was so lucky to get to spend 4 whole days with my beloved sister Bean! She is a Phili girl and loved the lush green NY state countryside. We wined and dined along the Finger Lakes wineries and swam till dark. Pictured above in the Ithaca Childrens Garden with our August birthday month flower....the sunflower! So lucky to have you and Happy Birthday (almost!) to us! xoxoxo
