 I was also lucky enough to give her this edgy cut. Wow, how did I ever get to be me :) My life is too deliciously fun.

I have AUDITIONS next week to be considered for a KMS educator position.....wish me luck!

Dun dun dun dun- Wedding Season is almost here

At the salon I am already getting my 2012 brides calling for makeup and hair trials. Bridal season is swiftly approaching! For those of you tying the knot this will serve as some inspiration.

The one thing I tell all my brides is that there is NO cookie cutter wedding anymore.

We have entered an age where the bridal boutique nightmares of years past are becoming extinct. It truly is about making it YOUR unique day.

 Blushing brides heed this message; if you are classic, nerdy, love rhinestones or raw silk it is the bridal season of doing it your way.

 The trend is unique and custom, quaint and handmade, sweet and cherished. Just like it should.

Vintage Styling & Creative Cuts & Color

I have been fortunate enough to work with an incredible Filmer and director Becky Lane. In December I was asked to be featured in the film "The Chanticleer." In addition to being a featured talent in the short, I was asked to do the styling. Imagine Mad Men meets the L-Word meets Friends meets early 60's hair and makeup. I have included all of the incredible photos taken from behind the scenes.

and yes, I bleached out my brows.

I get a varied reaction from "wow, your eyebrow are blonde" to "I really don't know how I feel about that " to "where did your eyebrows go!!" to " I LOVE THAT!!!!"

It was not easy to achieve but I do love the supernatural effect. It's an edgy, mysterious, blank look that I am just loving with my asymmetrical dark hair.

Trend Alert! bleached out eyebrows

Let's talk about eyebrows for a moment here. Not only are they your entire expression but also they have the ability to create depth and entirely top off or change your hair style and look. I have always been a fan of eyebrow contouring and styling and sadly I see it often get left out of a consultation behind the chair. I have had may clients that I have taken that extra moment to show them how to accentuate and create the illusion of a full dark brow. I have yet to bleach them completely out, but I am so very tempted. Yes, the platinum blonde brow, love it or hate it this severe look is back. After great anticipation of the film, A Girl With A Dragon Tattoo, I am left speechless by her fantastic styling. I applaud Danilo for his stunning versatile cut including the removal of her brows. I have always been a fan of eccentric punk rock hair.....but this styling is as punk rock as it is chic, modern and individualistic.

Amazing work.

Here are a few of my favorite bleached out brows-beware this look isn't for everyone! Love it or leave it, you know I love my styling severe. 

This look may not be for all of you but the message here is don't leave those brows bare! Enhance them and show off those gorgeous blinkers in whatever way suits your fancy. Ask your makeup girl or stylist next time you are in the chair not only what she can do for your hair but your brows too!
