Class notes & doodles

Class notes and doodles
Transforming this lovely, long haired lady into a short bob. The kitchen shears, of course, were to blunt off the ponytails.
Custom Adorn showgirl hairpiece. I love these kinds of commissions!
Custom Adorn headdress I created for up coming WTS show, April 13 at Lot 10.
I can not wait to debut this beauty.
Trial run for 2012 Goldwell Fascinature competition. I have ambitions to become a finalist and attend Color Zoom in London this fall!!!
Took my lovely guest Amanda from BLACK to a gorgeous, juicy tangerine.

I was also lucky enough to give her this edgy cut. Wow, how did I ever get to be me :) My life is too deliciously fun.
Me modeling my new beauty. Which is only inspiring me to further my dream of getting my MC license this summer.

I have AUDITIONS next week to be considered for a KMS educator position.....wish me luck!

Dun dun dun dun- Wedding Season is almost here

At the salon I am already getting my 2012 brides calling for makeup and hair trials. Bridal season is swiftly approaching! For those of you tying the knot this will serve as some inspiration.
The one thing I tell all my brides is that there is NO cookie cutter wedding anymore.
We have entered an age where the bridal boutique nightmares of years past are becoming extinct. It truly is about making it YOUR unique day.
Blushing brides heed this message; if you are classic, nerdy, love rhinestones or raw silk it is the bridal season of doing it your way.

The trend is unique and custom, quaint and handmade, sweet and cherished. Just like it should.
Here are some of my recent favorite couples that dare to walk down the isle in their own fashion.

If you haven't yet checked out Rock and Roll Bride you must.

Vintage Styling & Creative Cuts & Color

I have been fortunate enough to work with an incredible Filmer and director Becky Lane. In December I was asked to be featured in the film "The Chanticleer." In addition to being a featured talent in the short, I was asked to do the styling. Imagine Mad Men meets the L-Word meets Friends meets early 60's hair and makeup. I have included all of the incredible photos taken from behind the scenes.

I don't wanna say too much....yet...but I was recently contacted by a very well known publication for an interview!!!!!! I will let you all know more.....once I can spill. Below is one of the profile photos for the interview ;)

and yes, I bleached out my brows.
I get a varied reaction from "wow, your eyebrow are blonde" to "I really don't know how I feel about that " to "where did your eyebrows go!!" to " I LOVE THAT!!!!"
It was not easy to achieve but I do love the supernatural effect. It's an edgy, mysterious, blank look that I am just loving with my asymmetrical dark hair.

I'm lucky to have such a trusting and wonderful clientele.
